Wife and I went out on a "date" last Saturday; my parents kept the girls.
Shopping, out to eat, then a movie. We saw Red Dragon. It was ok.
1986' Manunter is a much much better movie-- better, and more subtle.
Red Dragon was over produced, under-acted, too much Hannibal, or something.
It just wasn't as good. It was truer to the book, but still not as good.

Really weird evening. I live in an extreamly small town. There was a town meeting about a proposed new gun law. The proposed law makes it illegal to fire a gun within the town limits. Needless to say there was a lot of opposition, and the proposed law is going to have to be reworded to make it more gun friendly. This is a good thing. I believe sportsman should be able to fire guns in the town limits, just not within 300 or so yards from a house. The weird thing was, this law was proposed by my neighbor, who accussed me ( I wasn't even there, but my Dad was) of peppering his house once with a shotgun, and on another occasion shooting a rifle over his house.
What's weird about that is that I didn't. These shootings happened over a year ago, and he never approached me about it; he just assumed it was me. My Dad did not take kindly to this to say the least. There was a big ruckus at town hall all because of me. And It wasn't even me; and I wasn't even there. My neighbor and I have talked, and all is well between us now. This is probably the biggest thing to happen in my town in my life time ( and I am 36).
