I made the mistake of trying out RedHat's new beta on my main machine. I will never do that again. Next time it's going on the laptop. All was backed-up and is now restored. Nothing lost but time. Wife and I just returned from a weekend of hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I have been very busy. DSL has enabled me to get all my systems up2date. I have been able to find the time to get things working that have been on my list of things to get working for a long time e.g. samba. I have samba up and running on my two linux boxes sharing files with mac osX and win98. I have set up a mp3 server and am working on a way to get the songs wirelessly played out by the pool.

DSL is wonderful!!!!! I am in love with the internet all over again. I was a dial up user for over 10 years, and live in an area where 2.29k downloads were about all I was capable of.
Now I get over 50 times that! Life is good.
