I guess it didn't phase me at first, but the re-registering stunt SCO is pulling with their customers who got linux from them, is a violation of the GPL.

The New York Times is reporting that Google and Microsoft have been in merger talks. This could be a very bad thing. Wan't to know how objective Microsoft can be when it comes to search engine reults? Do a search on MSN for linux, now look at the top 4 links. Now, then try the same thing on google. Look at the number of reults. Makes you wonder what will happen to the quality of your searches if Microsoft has anything to do with it.

I have a web server up and running now. I have duplicated dsyates.home.mindspring.com and added a better search program (I can now run cgi, perl, and php since I have my own server). I will be keeping up the old site for as a back up. The new site can be reached at lottalinuxlinks.com . Sunday, October 12, 2003

I don't know if you call this "giving up" or "giving in".Here is a site, that evidently used to pride itself on exposing MS Internet Explorer security holes. But now, has (and I quote) "seen a sea change in Microsoft’s commitment to rid its IE browser of the vulns that PivX Solutions and other third party researchers have identified. Given Microsoft’s recent positive actions together with the current rise in attacks against IE we have agreed to give Microsoft a good faith reprieve and have taken down our ‘Unpatched’ page. This was done in both a spirit of cooperation and for the good of the internet as a whole. As the ubiquitous browser that is utilized to access the internet, we all depend on IE too much to have crooks, social deviants, malcontents and crackers from messing with our lifestyles and our livelihoods. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" Friday, October 10, 2003

I don't agree with the guy politically, but his article is, at least for me, timely.
